Admissions via 3-Channels

For admission to Dual degree BS-MS programme, following channels will be available:

1. KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana): SX, SA, SB, SP

3. DIRECT ADMISSION: Students securing marks above cut-off, as given in the Cut-Off Table (with relaxations of 10% for SC/ST and 5% for OBC): Selection based on merit and performance in aptitude assessment and counseling

Direct Admission

Student must score marks equal to/exceeding those given in the cut-off table for both class X and Class XII, to have their application accepted online. For SC/ST candidates a relaxation of 10% in the marks and for OBC(non creamy layer) a relaxation of 5% have been made. The marks refer to aggregate marks (as defined by the respective board).
If needed, short listing will be done on the basis of the best of PCM/PCB marks obtained in Class XII. Same percentage of students from the applicants of each individual board will be shortlisted and called for counseling.
Counseling includes a compulsory 90 minute- written aptitude assessment test at the candidate�s choice of IISER, in which 10 questions in each of the subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics will have to be answered. The examination will be of multiple choice question format and will be based on CBSE up to Class XII syllabus. There will be negative marking for wrong answer. Questions will be both in English and Hindi.
Admission merit list will be prepared solely on the marks obtained in the aptitude assessment test. Admission will be offered to applicants from the merit list on the basis of available seats.
Reservation quota on seats will be as per GOI rules for OBC, SC, ST and PD candidates.
